HealthSetu is an elective diagnostic booking facilitator and is NOT an emergency medical service. If you or a family member is experiencing chest pain, severe breathlessness, sudden numbness, stroke symptoms, or severe trauma, immediately call an ambulance (dial 112 or 102) or visit the nearest hospital emergency department.
1. Platform Status as a Technology Aggregator
HealthSetu operates exclusively as an electronic intermediary platform that connects registered users with independent, licensed, NABL-accredited (ISO 15189:2022) diagnostic pathology laboratories and trained field phlebotomists.
HealthSetu does NOT own, operate, or directly conduct biological lab testing in its own capacity. All diagnostic specimen testing, biochemical analysis, analyte calibration, and final medical report sign-offs are conducted strictly by registered medical pathologists and accredited partner laboratories.
2. Home Sample Collection & Cold-Chain Protocols
For all doorstep sample collection bookings:
- Sterile Single-Use Supplies: Phlebotomists are required to unseal sterile vacutainer needles and collection tubes in the presence of the patient.
- Barcoding at Collection: Each specimen tube must be labeled with an authentic unique barcode mapped to the patient order before leaving the patient's premises.
- Thermal Compliance (2°C - 8°C): Samples requiring temperature stabilization are transported in certified thermal bio-carriers with conditioned gel ice packs.
- Patient Pre-requisites: The patient is responsible for adhering to fasting protocols (e.g., 8–12 hours for Fasting Glucose or Lipid Profile, with water permitted unless advised otherwise).
3. Diagnostic Reports & Clinical Interpretation
The digital smart reports and 3-zone visual risk dials generated on the platform are educational and supplementary in nature. Laboratory values must always be correlated clinically with patient history, physical examination, and medical symptoms by a qualified Registered Medical Practitioner (RMP). Self-medication or alteration of prescription dosages based purely on raw lab values without doctor consultation is strictly prohibited.
4. Doctor Teleconsultations (NMC Guidelines 2020)
Teleconsultations facilitated through the platform adhere to the Telemedicine Practice Guidelines issued by the National Medical Commission (NMC). Teleconsulting doctors are licensed RMPs in India. A teleconsultation is not a substitute for a full in-person physical clinical examination when necessary.
5. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of India. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in New Delhi, India.
